Tired: Waking up 1-2 times during the night from a kitten?

My cat is 3 months old now. Loves sleeping with me. However Im feeling a little tired during the day and weekends for a little while now. My cat sleeps with me until around 6am then it wants to play, then I lock him out of the bedroom and i wake up at 8am for work. Is this 1-2 wake ups a major contributor to my tiredness? I get about 7-7.5 hours sleep a night and exercise 2+ times a week.

I have a similar problem, but it is usually cause I have to pee!  hahaaa!  I love sleeping with my pets too, but I found when I woke up that way and went back to bed for an hour or two, I felt worse than if I just stayed up.  Try keeping your cat out of the bedroom and see if that helps.  I know it will be hard though!  You have to break his bad habit of waking you up.  My cat learned not to bother me till the alarm went off.  Then she would come up and ever sooooo gently paw my eyelids!
