yes, i said it. I am tired of the marketing campaigns to teach, advice or educate, tired of teachers teaching, tired of boss's teaching/preaching and tired of all the self help knowledge everyone seems to want to share. Tired of learning new work habits from new employers and just plain tired of trying to learn all the important things I am suppose to know/do to make me a whole productive person.in America. Any thoughts?

  1. i dont want to go to college... i think ive had enough learning also. i agree with youuu

  2. Lots of people feel the same way. They are tired of everything people are trying to tell them, or trying to teach. They just want to go their own way, without other people trying to make them go one way or another. This is normal, Im sure that a lot of people feel the same way.

  3. I'm not sure how old you are or if this is feasible, but it does sound like you are in a rut/bored with what you have been doing and either need a new hobby or job change.  If possible, do something totally different....volunteer at a horse farm (or anything new), play a new sport, start cooking, train a dog, etc.

I didn't want to continue on with college at one point, so I moved from a major city to a ranch in MT and learned how to wrangle horses and fly-fish.  After a few years of that, I went back to college and became a history teacher.  Sometimes you just need a change of pace.

  4. i would have to say yess

i am tired of it as well

you just need a break that's all

i mean yes you need to learn and such but honestly i get tired of it too

just try taking a vacation or break, and when you get back you'll be ready to get back into the groove of things

  5. It sounds like you're just burned out and need to have some fun.

  6. I love it, someone finally blew their cork and it wasn't me. As a teacher, I am required to take approximately 4 hours a week of professional development to learn how to understand 100's of cultures, talk to parents, communicate with coworkers, teach better, prepare interesting lessons, use technology that the district does not provide me with to use in my classes, and about 2000 other useless things. Then I get to go teach 100 plus kids, grade the work, make lessons which are effective and can be related to real life, deal with parents that assume the problem their kid is having must be caused by the teacher, and do not forget the administrators and district people who come to observe and then want to tell you how you should do this and that.

Yeah, I am tired also, but I love learning, so I spend my summers taking courses that interest me and improve my abilities in ways I know I can use, not the useless dribble I get all year in the district.
