  1. I enjoy it as a holiday and a time to catch up with family and friends - it's about the only time of year most people actually make the effort. We exchange gifts and cards and have a good meal and drink too much - same as a lot of people.

The thing is that being brought up in a Christian country that is set-up for the whole christmas thing it's been difficult not not join in at some level with the celebrations.I know muslims who join in with gift giving and big family meals - it's more a part of British culture than a religious holiday now. I enjoy it very much, because I've been brought up with it, I just ignore the God aspect. The thing that annoys me most are the people who go to church over christmas and then claim that they are "christians" and how the meaning of Christmas has been lost! Bloody hypocrits!

Besides, the Christians hi-jacked a traditional pagan festival which had been around for many centuries before Christ so as an Atheist I'm reclaiming a secular holiday!!

  2. I say Yule...

  3. wrong time of year now  but I love  christmas  I am a christian.  I love the church and singing  not the drink and food.

  4. Why do christians continue to celebrate Pagan holidays as everything pagan is supposedly "evil"?

  5. Hey, life is for celebration in my opinion.

If someone is kind enough to set aside a specific day to get together with loved ones and to act a bit more generously, great!  And if they declare it a public holiday, that's even better!

Of course I enjoy Christmas.  Peace and goodwill to all, what's not to enjoy?  A Merry Christmas to you too!
