Tiscali phone + broadband + TV offer: where's the catch?

Tiscali has offered me a package of £24.99 per month which includes phone line rental, unlimited national calls, broadband, and "tiscali TV". It sounds very attractive, but where is the catch? Would I pay more if I call mobile phone for examples? Thanks

c**p customer service, lines drops all the time, you don't get your full bandwidth... rubbish!

Check if that's only for first few months, then it goes up to infinity. Tiscali TV definitely sound dodgey. Will you only get Italian shopping channels?

very poor customer service. cant get thru 2 the department u want. i cancel your subscriptions but they only suspend them & when u go 2 another provider 4 broadband they refuse to take the tags off your phone line. i'm taking it further now, it's been 6months since i rang to say i wanted the tags taken off as i wanted to go with another company & they didnt really say a lot, said they'd transfer me to the right section but hung up on me instaed, called bk & just kept ringing.

i had to go with a cable company instead to bypass the phone line

To be honest, it is a cracking deal. I have the tv serv, bband and line rental for a few months now and everything is fine. The tv serv is fit enough to rival sky. Check out http://www.tiscali.co.uk/entertainment/t... .

and the everything has been solid since i had it installed. Go for it.

The catch is Tiscali are cr@p at customer service.

I tried to sign up with them last year but it took forever and even then they didn't provide me with a service but still took my money for it!

The catch is it's Tiscali. In my opinion, one of the worst ISP and telecoms companies in the country.

As other have said, check the contract very very carefully, then check it again, the call them and check and record the conversaion.

Then in 6 months when it turns out you're on another package and paying loads more and the broadband's not working, at least you'll have some evidence in court.

Better yet, don't go near them.

One of the catches  is - you will never escape from them. I only had my phone with them many years ago, when, like now they seemed to be the cheapest. BUT when other well known companies offered a better deal, they made it more than difficult to leave. I finally managed it after six or so months, sending a Cheque  for a few pounds they said I owed them? one year later they decided that I still owed them this money £14.95  even though I sent them a copy of the cheque. They still kept bothering me for this and after never being able to speak to a person when I PHONED  I sent them another just to get away(this time recorded delivery - You have been warned - think about the old saying - BUY  CHEAP BUY TWICE -
