Titainium King stands first in The Swindon January Monkey 509m – (Heat 3)
Titainium King pulled his act together by defeating the most favourite opponent in the Grade OR The Swindon January Monkey 509er – (Heat 3) at about 509m, held at Swindon race track on Wednesday, January 18.
The black dog ran against Forest Ted, Millridge Duke, Swift Tilly, Farloe Orion and Oneco Jewel.
Before the race started, all were extolling Forest Ted, but the results spread a wave of surprise and shock, as a non-favourite racer had won with a considerable margin of 1 ¾ lengths.
The break call came at 20:52. Titainium King broke from trap 5, and the dog started with average speed, but perked it up suddenly in the middle to take the lead.
It was daringly done by the son of Scarty Lad. The veteran dog applied utmost effort to sustain his front position.
Forest Ted tried to challenge him, but the eventual winner defended his lead convincingly.
The excellent effort and elegant technique paid the dog well, as he managed to reach the finish line in 30.20 seconds.

The way he bagged a fabulous triumph last night impressed many bookmakers, who are likely to bet on him in future racing events.
The second spot went to, Forest Ted, who was the only favourite of all the six participants with the starting price of 7 to 4.
Breaking from trap 3, the white and black dog showed some resilience in the beginning, but failed to sustain his momentum in the long run.
Not to speak of top position, the son of Royal Impact had to fight even harder for the second postion, as Millridge Duke harassed him a lot throughout the track.
Trailing by 1 ¾ lengths, the trainee of K R Hutton bridged the distance in 30.35 seconds. Whelped in February 2009, he started his career in September, 2010.
