  1. From what I have seen of the Titanic lifting it would be only possible in small pieces as the structure will be too weal to life. You don't say which government so I presume that it will be the British Labour government who know nothing about shipping as their only MP who had any experience of being at sea is their ex ships steward Prescott and being a steward gives no training in naval architecture. I would say that it is just mumbo jumbo.

  2. There is no plan, nor would it ever be practical to raise the Titanic. Why does this ridiculous question keep getting asked?

  3. There's no plan to raise the Titanic.  A group tried to raise a 30-ton piece of hull plating a few years ago, but the attempt failed.  Currently the wreck is in such awful shape that any such attempt would just destroy it.

  4. It wasn't the Government. Private enterpises tried and they couldn't

  5. it wouldnt survive the journey to the surface its slowly collapsing in on itself..

  6. lol raising the titanic is beyond our technology. Its so frigile if it was attempted it would break up.

  7. Not happening, not to worry

  8. no it would be a monumental task...unless we could use the U.F.O. from Roswell to move it with its tractor beam.

  9. they dont and they cant as it is designated a grave now...

  10. mumbo jumbo far too deep and far too fragile now. can't be done. Having said that a lot of small items have been retreived and you can even buy them on the web

  11. mumbo jumbo

  12. She is a designated grave , anyway , by the looks of recent hydrographics on the seabed , the hull and superstructure is all over the place. At that depth , the pressure after all this time has totally mangled the ship.

This is the first time I've heard of any person mentioning the Government attempting to 'Raise the Titanic'. A figment of your imagination and a movie.

Upon recent discussions , it was revealed that , apart from colliding with an iceberg , she was a very weak vessel and her bottom fell away after cracking. Her voyage path was far too North than her original passage intended to be. She was probably taking a 'short-cut' to be in port on record time.

Mumbo-Jumbo , as you put it!!
