  1. she was built in Harland and wolf in Belfast Northern Ireland

the voyage set sail from Southampton to sail to new york

there where 1500 to 2000 onboard

the ship was built as a passenger vessel but was the biggest ever built at that time

it was supposed to be unsinkable

  2. Don't listen to the "it was the Olympic" comment, there are several differences between the 2 that distinguished them plus the fact expeditions have found the Titanic's hull number on the wreck. Not to mention the fact an insurance scam to sink the most expensive and most prestigious ocean liner on the seas for the insurance money makes no sense for the white star line, I guess sinking your ship really makes the Olympic class ships look better then the Lusitania and Mauretania

  3. Titanic could carry a total of 3,547 passengers and crew and, because she carried mail, her name was given the prefix RMS, (Royal Mail Steamer).

On April 10, 1912, the Titanic departed from Southampton, England and traveled to Cherbourg, France where many first-class passengers boarded. On April 11, 1912, the Titanic left Cherbourg en route to Queenstown (Cobh), Ireland where the Titanic picked up the majority of its third-class passengers. On April 12, 1912, the Titanic sailed on its maiden voyage across the Atlantic Ocean and was due to arrive in New York City on Wednesday April 17, 1912.

On the night of April 14, at 11:40 p.m., The Titanic struck an iceberg; just under three hours later, at 2:20 AM, on April 15, 1912 the ship sank. [39] The United States Senate investigation reported that 1,517 [40] people perished in the accident, while the British investigation has the number at 1,490. [41] Regardless, the disaster ranks as one of the worst peacetime maritime disasters in history, and is by far the best known. The media frenzy about the Titanic's famous victims, the legends about what happened on board the ship, the resulting changes to maritime law, Walter Lord's 1955 non-fiction account A Night to Remember, the discovery of the wreck in 1985 by a team led by Robert Ballard and Jean-Louis Michel, and the box office success of the 1997 film Titanic (the highest-grossing film in history as of 2007) have sustained the Titanic's fame.

  4. Just a regular passenger ship, sailing from Southampton to New York.

  5. she was on her way to new york and she set sail from portsmouth this was hre maiden voyage dont know how mant passengers she could hold tho

  6. it wasn't the titanic it was really the Olympic

  7. you should watch the film, all the info is there. the 1 with leonardo di caprio and kate winslet

  8. sailed  from  southampton  and  we  all  know   where  she  was  going   the  sea  bed

  9. The purpose of Titanic's voyage was to transport passengers and cargo (including mail) from England to the United States (and back - had she made it to the US).  Back in 1912 there was no airplanes that could take people between the United States and England.  So the only way one could travel between the two countries was by ship.

The Titanic left Southampton, England on April 10, 1912 and was headed for New York.  There were 1309 passengers and 898 crew aboard, for a total of 2207 people.  If every bed was filed, than the Titanic could carry a total of 3,547 passengers and crew.
