Titanic survivors? ANybody out there?

Question

Is there anyone out there who is an actual survivor or a relative to one who can tell me some more history on the beautiful disaster called the Titanic back in 1912? Have seen the movie, and was interested in actual facinating stories about that voyage that are true. Thank you!!

One of the last known Titanic survivors was Eva Hart, who was 7 yrs of age when the Titanic sank & she gave a few interviews, In 1994 she wrote her autobiography " Shadow of the Titanic - A Survivors Story ", she died 2 yrs later.

The only remaining survivor as of 2008 , is 96 yr old Millvina Dean, who was the youngest recorded passenger aboard Titanic, she has no memory of the disaster.

I don't know anyone, but you might want to see if the Titanic exibit is coming anytime near your city. I went and it was very informative, and had sooo many artifacts. I learned so much!

Hello Daniel,

Not a survivor.  There are many books on the subject which have eyewitness testimony about the disaster.

Just yesterday, my family went to a Titanic exhibit that had many of the retrieved artifacts from the ship.  From tiny buttons to plates and bottles to exact replicas of the rooms from the 1st 2nd and 3rd class

accomodations.   We even got a boarding pass with the name of a real passenger from the ship.  Fortunately, my passenger survived,  though the one my daughter got did not.

There were the wealthiest people on earth on the ship who paid the equivalent of $80,000 dollars to be the first passengers to travel across the Atlantic aboard the Titanic to some of the most dirt poor who spent their last dime.   The entire story was very horrific,  very heartbreaking.

You can go to the library to find out much interesting history... all of which is fascinating and in some respects,  just unbelievable.

The only survivor alive today is DEAN, Miss Elizabeth Gladys "Millvina" - she was only 2 months old at the time of the sinking.
