Titanium belly ring in airport?

I have a titanium belly ring and in a couple of days I'll be travelling by plane. Does anyone know if the scanner beeps when it detects titanium? Will I be forced to take it off to pass the control?

According to the TSA website, it's preferred that you take out your body piercings and remove any metal jewelry or anything that might set it off before you go through.

Also, bras with an under-wire will set it off, so I would plan accordingly.

It might beep depending on how sensitive they metal dector is.  I highly doubt they would make you take it off, I have not heard of anything really stupid like that in a while.
