Titans’ linemen Michael Roos and Jake Scott say Saints obstructed their play – NFL News
The Tennessee Titans have accused New Orleans Saints of blowing whistles from their bench area late into their game in Tennessee on past Sunday, which they lost 17-22 to allow the visiting Saints to make it to this season’s playoff.
The accusation came from Texans two veteran linemen Michael Roos and Jake Scott who said that they have evidence that a whistle was blown into second to their last offensive possession.
It was claimed by the Scott that the producer of their team's television show 'Titans All Access' Dean McCondichie has evidence on tape of the whistle-blowing.
"Dean's got it on tape," Scott said. "Somebody was blowing a whistle on the sideline. There is audio of it, so we'll let it go from there. The second to last drive I think."
Roos added that they had heard something but said they were not sure where it had come from. He said it looked that there was a whistle blown from the Saints bench. He however refused to confirm saying he could comment further
only after looking at the evidence.
Titans coach Mike Munchak in the meantime has refused to confirm the issue saying he was not aware of it. "You assume no one would be trying to do something like that to affect the game in some way," he said.
Meanwhile Titans Nate Washington has accused Saints safety Roman Harper of dirty play for apparently his involvement in a tackle that resulted in an obstacle in the end zone.
"Honestly, he's a dirty player," Washington said. "We watched film on him, he's dirty. And I don't appreciate it, I'm going to step out in public and say it: He's dirty."
He said that their coaches had warned them of a dirty and chirpy play by the Saints and they proved that fears true.
The Tennessee Titans lost their Sunday game against the New Orlean Saints. Their loss allowed the Saints to become second team to make it to playoff this season.
Titans’ loss also helped the Houston Texans to clinch the American Football Conference (AFC) south title after they had made it playoff for the first time in their franchise history.
