Thumb surgery will end Vince Young's season, but it remains unclear whether he and Jeff Fisher can reach the peace that has been ordered by Tennessee Titans owner Bud Adams. Fisher said Monday that Young will be placed on injured reserve, but emphasized that if the quarterback were healthy he would have been benched this week against Houston, because of his actions after Sunday's overtime loss to Washington. Young stormed out of the Titans locker room a few minutes after the game ended, and in his post-game press conference Fisher said rookie Rusty Smith would take over starting duties.
