Title of old italian ww2 movie?

during winter campaign in eastern front, with the germans and its allies suffering losses, about 5 or less italian soldiers got separated from their unit ( it was wiped out, they were left behind, they mutinied or they deserted ? iam not sure ).

Now, this i what i remember distinctly about the movie:

they found themselves among convoy of german trucks ( WHITE TANKER TYPE TRUCKS with missiles, gasoline, supplies and troops inside ) to launch counter offensive of some sort.

a firefight erupted. they tried to take over one of the trucks and the other german trucks fired on them. but they were over a frozen river and all the trucks sank including the german troops that were still inside.
