  1. i would say the dt solo is better longer distance and better accuracy

  2. the solo wins by a t.k.o. over the wilson . much better golf ball period .

  3. Just use PRO V1S !!

  4. Never tried the 50/50, but have used SOLO for a few months.  It is a good distance ball, but the cover is hard as a rock.  I spent last April through- Sept (warm months)  trying to find a ball I liked all around.  I wanted to stay mod price range, b/c I knew I already loved the PV1 and HX tour (40/doz)  I was trying to stay around 20 bucks.  Here is what i tried:

    1.  Nike Long and soft (hated this inconsistant feeling ball, seemed like no two were the same.)

    2.  Titlest SOLO:  good ball rolled for days, everywhere, on the green too, very hard cover, hard to control my wedge distances.)

    3.  TopFilte D@ "feel":  Great ball and cheap.  Plenty long off the tee and medium soft cover, very sticky, 1 of two mid range balls that spent back with a full 60 degree.

    4.  Titest NXT tour:  Great ball, good feel and loads of distance.  A bit of a hard cover, overall the most consistant of balls I tried.

    5.  Pinnicale Exception: (I wasn't going to try this until I read golf digests review, I have always disliked the Pinnicale name brand.  But, when I did I feel in love with the d**n thing.  It was great,  Very long, Consistant, and workable.  Very grippy, so I could take dead aim with the irons or wedges, it rolled very little once you got it on the green.  Also, I never blemished, or cut one of these balls, very durable.  I play with this one now, if I can find them.

When I did this I took a month to try each ball, I played them and nothing else and studied my score, PPR, GIR, DIF, and took into account what I felt from the balls.

Only problem is that there are so many new balls this year, I want to try the 50/50, Topflite "gamer" and the new Pinnicale platnium "feel" (I think this took the place of the Exception.)

Out of the two You mentioned I think I would play the 50/50, from reading it is a medium spin ball with a medium cover.  The Solo is hard covered with a low compession.  I tell you to do this only b/c its my preferance to play a bit of a softer cover ball b/c I practice my PW through 60 often b/c I have a big yard, I count on that part of my game to save strokes.  So a softer cover allows you to take better aim at the pin or place the ball where you want on the green and not worry about the roll out after the shot.
