The Catalan trainer has refused to get carried away with his side’s early performance in La Liga and has maintained that there is much to play for in the season.

The Spaniard commented about Barca’s position in the Spanish La Liga, contrasting his side’s performance with Jose Mourinho’s Real Madrid.

This puts the Catalans in a considerably healthy position at the moment; however, Vilanova is convinced that there is still a long way to go into the season urging his side to maintain their current form.
He also went on to stress that La Azulgrana cannot afford to be complacent and must try to win each and every match that they take part in.
Moreover, the trainer was focused on the fact that it is his first season with the Catalan giants and will not allow the situation to slip from their grasp.
