Barcelona faced Sevilla in a match which was full of excitement and even though Sevilla were able to take a two-goal lead, Barcelona were able to win 3-2 to take all three points.
The Catalan boss has praised his team’s efforts against Sevilla, but did not shy away from appreciating the opponents as well.
Sevilla was a tough tie and Tito Vilanova has taken nothing away from them.
La Blaugrana coach believes that Sevilla are currently playing at a very high level and appreciated the fact that they have been performing well.
Sevilla, this season, started to impress their fans after they were able to beat the current Spanish La Liga title holders, Real Madrid.
The game against Jose Mourinho’s men had a lot of anticipation attached to it and Sevilla were able to live up to the expectations as they won the match 1-0 against Los Blancos.
It was time for them to shine against Barcelona over the past weekend and even though they were able to score two goals before Barcelona, they lost the game 3-2, as David Villa scored a winner in injury time.
There was a lot of drama and action throughout the fixtures, but Barcelona were the ones who came out on top at the end of the day, taking all three points away from Sevilla, in order to record their sixth consecutive win in La Liga.

Barcelona midfielder, Xavi Hernandez, also commented on the game against Sevilla and said:
“It was a game where we knew we would need to fight for anything, particularly when they got the advantage of a two-goal lead, but we never gave up.”
“I think we started well although their first goal was a setback, but after the break we were better, showed a lot of pride and eventually secured the victory.”
Barcelona have been impressive throughout the season as they have won each and every game they have been a part of.
