The Barcelona trainer is of the opinion that he will rather enjoy supper than to watch the Madrid derby over the weekend.
Barcelona’s coach, Tito Vilanova, has stated that he does not care about the outcome of the match between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid and is instead looking forward to concentrate properly upon his team’s match at the weekend.
"I have to attend my media conference and then have some supper. I have no intention of seeing [the derby] or following it," Vilanova said at a press conference.
Atletico Madrid and Real go into the weekend’s derby as number 2 and 3 in La Liga standings respectively, and the result of the game will most certainly have a say as to where the title pendulum will swing.
However, the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 tactician has insisted that the outcome of the game does not have an effect on Barcelona’s title aspirations.
The Catalans themselves are playing Athletic Bilbao and will be all set to make the most out of the clash. A win for Barcelona over the struggling Bilbao will come as a great result for the Nou Camp outfit, if it is coupled with the result at the capital
going their way.
"My players know that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marcelo-c23554 Bielsa’s teams exert much pressure and we’ll need to work. They've lost key players, but that does not make them any less dangerous."
A win for Real will see Barcelona open up a 6-point lead over Atletico Madrid, while a win for the other side of the capital will mean that the Catalans will further surmount their lead over whom they consider as their nearest rivals to the Liga crown.
"Whether they [Real Madrid] are 14 or 16 points behind us is not important, they will not give up. I do not bother myself with that and neither should the players."
Vilanova also admitted that Athletic might miss their star striker, Llorente, as he is facing contractual problems but was also aware of the threat posed by the other Bilbao players and admitted that their weekend opponents have great quality in their squad.
