Question:

Tivo or cable dvr?

Which is the best option. My primary concern is cost and programing flexibility. Do you have to sign into a commitment with a tivo system. With a cable dvr, I can just call and get it with no upfront costs but it requires an upgrade in service - so it can be pricey. But I can also cancel it anytime.

What are your experiences?

  1. i wouldnt recomend tivo it does have a few features that other dvrs dont but really the price of it isnt worth it and the monthly subscription fees are a little high but cable dvrs are as well now you might consider satellite there dvrs are free upfront and like six dollars a month as opposed to cables like ten a month and you get alot of flexability of programming  however you do have to sign a commitment unless you want to pay alot upfront but even with there commitment if you move they will move it anywhere for free and you can drop to the lowest package like 30 dollars a month but if you choose satellite i recomend dish network there dvr is a two room system so if you record in one room you can watch it in the other thats something no one else offers and its nice so overall i rate them like this

    1.dish network

    2.directv

    3.cable dvr

    4. tivo
