Tivo problems, please help!!!?

Basically I'm trying to get my i-tunes library to my tivo but I'm having a problem. I'm being asked to create a network place. So how do I go about doing that and is it really necessary. If anyone knows how to transfer files, such as music or recorded shows between my tivo and my laptop it would be a huge help.

You have to have a router or a wireless router to have a home network. Once you have the network up and running you will need to download the TiVo desktop software on your PC and than you will be able to move your recordings, music, pic all that junk back and forth between your PC and your TiVo.

You have to use the TiVo wireless adapter, you can't use any other brand.
