TiVo out of the box does not come with extra channels. If you connect it to your home network you will be able to do more than a connection to the phone line.

You can download and rent or own movies from Amazon Unbox.

You can share home movies with friends and family with One True Media.

Watch and download music videos from Music Choice

TiVoCast lets you download shows made exclusively for Tivo customers with a wide range of topics, from news to comedy and cartoons.

With the photo and slide show feature you can make your TV into a great place for presentations, also you can access your pictures on line.

You can also use your tivo to play music stored on your computer making your tv a virtual stereo with unlimited playlists.

That's just the beginning of what Tivo can do for you.

If you have the TIVO connected to your home network you can download movies and television shows from Amazon Unbox. Also you can download videos from the web. TIVO will soon be adding video from YouTube also. You can also upload recorded shows from your TIVO to your computer with TivoToGo. You can browse your pictures and music on your computer on the TIVO. Also, if you have 2 TIVO's in your household you can transfer recordings between the two boxes.
