To All Parents?!!?

Would you let a very responsible 11 year old girl babysit your kid[s]? I have worked with my sister before babysitting 3 crazzzzzy boys and I love kids. Would it be better if my friend of the same age came with me? If the age isn't doing it for you how old would I have to be? How much would you pay me?

Thanks in Advance!!!!!!

  1. I think 11 is a little young.

I might say yes on quick afternoon errands I might run, or have you over as Mothers Helper - play with them while I'm home cleaning/working.

I would under no circumstances enjoy having a friend come with you.

For this type of sitting I probably woulndn't pay more than $5/hr.

    I'm in the midwest.

I'm a bit more comfortable with 16+ for regular sitting.

  2. yes, I think that it doesn't matter, as long as the babysitter is older than the child she is babysitting and is very responsible. It is also fine to have a friend come with you to babysit as long as you check with the parents you are babysitting for.

  3. i started babysitting when i was 13 and honestly i would not leave anyone younger than that w/ my kids. i would pay 6/hr for a 13 yr old, because that is what i charged my clients when i was 13.

  4. If I knew you and could really tell that what you are saying is true, then I would sit down with you and ask you some questions to see how you would answer them. I would make sure you knew exactly what to do in case of an emergency. I would probably end up letting you babysit my two boys (ages 3 and 4). After you babysat once you might not want two again. LOL

  5. first of all 11 is far to young.

its a bit odd to be dong all of those jobs at 11.

you cant have a's at the age of 11 as you would be in year six and only take your SATS and that can only get you to level 6 the highest. you may be responsible for your age but not to handle some crying kids!

  6. yes, my daughter is 11 and she babysits for me and lots of other people, but she is very responsible.  I've had other girls that were great even at a young age- and I've had some that were terrible and they were 17 and 18.  I think the younger ones are more eager to please.  I would pay you probably $5 an hour maybe more depending on how many children you are watching and how long you are working for.

  7. No I would want someone about 13 or at least that you have taken a babysitting class, yes the American Red Cross has such a class.

  8. I personally wouldn't...unless I knew you well.

If you had a friend with you, maybe....if they were older.

A lot of parents go with 12 year olds.   I'm a bit more picky and probably wouldn't let anyone under 15 watch my daughter. lol

  9. You are young.....

I started really babysitting at age 13 for all kids...

At 11 it was only family.

  10. I won't leave my son with anyone younger than about 14 or 15 unless it's only going to be for a few minutes. I'm just really cautious as to who I leave him with.
