Why does Yoda speak like this-"to battle we must go" and "the force strong it is"????? Thanks

I always thought it was supposed to re-enforce that Yoda was a member of a different species (as opposed to all the humanoids like Leia, Luke, etc.).  Therefore his primary language would have been alien.  And, if alien - Yoda might have used his native syntax rules while still conversing in "Space English".  

Just like speakers of different languages do today on our little planet!!

I'm George Lucas. For real. And yoda talks like that because he is constantly having minor strokes as a result of his...eh, power over the force. yeah, that's right. ..the force. I call it the Popeye syndrome
