I like to take powerful strides, and comfy skates would be a plus. I hear these are really good. I need skates for the upcoming hockey season.

  1. no, they are a rather terrible skate. i used them for a few games, then switched to easton S15's. best switch i've ever done. you should talk to your local hockey supplier about possible demoing a few pairs of skates to see what is best for you. you shouldn't take other people's advice, they're your feet, and you must use what you feel comfortable with. for example, some people may thing the S15 is too stiff, and want softer, more flexible boot. it's up to your feet to decide what is best

  2. NO dont buy them!!!!  I have them they are the worst skates i have ever had.  Whenever you pump them they always come unpumped, and they are so uncomfortable, and i have had them for a year on they are still not broken in.

  3. The new RBK 9K Pumps are the best skates I have ever had.  They are great if you like your skates really tight and they give a lot of ankle support.  The only down side is that you have to pump them a lot to get them really tight.

  4. Try to stick with the same company that made your previous skates. If you had NB vapors, get vapors. I always had vapors, and one year i bought ccm vectors. I couldn't use them. They were too uncomfortable. They would hurt everywhere.

A few buddies on my team had reebok 9k pumps, and they never complained about them. Also, with their hefty price tag, they can't be that bad.
