I currently need BIG TIME advide.

Here's my story: The teacher of the AP class that I am not sure of taking was my summer school teacher. My friend, Marylin and I were in his class, we were awesome students and we talked a lot, in a good way (:P). Today was the deadline for the AP Applications, I went with my friend Marylin and she gave the teacher the application and I was standing by the door.

The teacher was all "Is that girl not applying for AP next year?" My friend said no, and then he said "Come here."

We talked and he was all saying "How come you're not taking AP?" and he was all shocked. I said "Oh, because I am taking Honors English and AP Bio next year..." And his all of his students came in and asked them if this AP class was hard, they were all "oh it's easy!!!" The teacher totally put me on the spotlight.

Since the application was due today, May 30 he gave me an extra day, making it due June 2. He said I should think about it and NO PRESSURE.

What should I do?

  1. take the class u lose nothing and you may earn college credit if u dont like the class and you want to spare the teachers you say that you are overloaded with too many things sports ap bio and honor english though if i was you i would drop honor english in place of ap history cause with ap history you would get a change to earn college cred while honor english wont

  2. This happened to me kind of today. I was in AP English this year. The 10th grade teacher I might have next year was like "You all have to read 4 books over the summer and write notes about them because we are duscussing htem the first 6 weeks when school gets back in". I did okay in my class this year, but do I really want to read 4 books and waste my summer? It's not worth it. I already am taking AP US History next year and that class is apparently going to be tough. I feel if I don't take the chance, I might miss out. I am still confused, but I think you should take advantage of the situation and take the AP class. Go with your guts. Good Luck! =)

  3. ok first of all what AP class is it?

    what sport are you playing

What school are you trying to get into

If you are a dedicated student you will be able to juggle it all.

If you feel the workload is to big then go talk to the teacher tell her your situation and why you are not taking it.

  4. honestly answer these questions

will you have time for it?

will you do well in it?

    will you enjoy it?

if you say no to any of these questions, don't do it

  5. Do you want to take this AP class?  The only practical use for AP classes are for passing the AP exams and MAYBE getting out of a class in college.  Which is nice, but you're already taking AP Bio and doing plenty of other things.  Take too many advanced classes and you'll just stress yourself out.

If you really like this teacher, and you wouldn't mind getting out of a history course in college, go for it.  But if you feel you'll be too busy, just tell him that.  "Thanks, but I have plenty on my plate already."

  6. Follow your heart my friend... don't let other people force you to do something you do or do not want to do. But in my opinion, I would go for the AP classes.

  7. .who cares what he thinks, if your gonna get bad grades or  join a class  just because you worry what your self image is then you shouldnt and should stop worrying about that, who cares what he thinks, its your decision and you shouldnt be forced to do anything or think you have to do anything

he is just giving a nice offer and a chance to be in ap, if you dont then dont, if you do then try it
