To Guys - what's the most effective way to stop men talking about s*x inappropriately?

I'm dealing with a lot of men online, for social/business networking - but not in any way for relationships/s*x (not in my mind, anyway).

The thing is, I'm getting an awful lot of inappropriate s*x chat, where the man is trying hard to steer the conversation round to s*x, even though I've been nowhere near that topic.

What's the best way to stop them effectively?

1) Slap them down - I can do that quite happily, but then I seem to be stuck with their bruised egos - which I may or may not care about, depending on what I need from them.

2) Ignore it - I can do that, but I'm concerned it gets taken as some kind of tacit permission, and may look like submission on my part (never!)

3) Make some joke about it to end it - they never seem to take the hint...

4) Polite request for them to stop - ugh, so staid

5) Something else?

What will shut them up without the bruised ego, preferably making me look super-business-like and wonderful...?

One good approach might be to cut them off at the knees by nonchalantly interjecting something about your 'boyfriend/husband' (whether or not you have either is beside the point).  

Except for a few cases, most will get the message.  If they persist be firm but polite.  And if that doesn't do the trick then drop them...  .
