Question:

To Kill a Mockingbird and A separate peace...?

Over summer i had to read both books and now i have to write an essay. The essay is "Explain the turning point for each protagonist by elaborating on the significance of the event which changed each of their lives and how each was able to accept the realities of good and evil co-existing"

I have an idea for both. For Separate Peace i think its when Phinny falls. But I'm stuck on mockingbird. I would guess it's the trial, but i need opinions.

I'm not trying to cheat, i just want some opions

  1. oh god. i have to read a separate peace too for college prep sophomore english.

    sucks monkey balls.

they gave us three thesis statements statements that we can either defend or attack.

my essay foccuses on how the life of a teenager during WWII is different from one living through the war in iraq. it's pretty easy considering i'm a teen now. since our topics our different, i'm not sure how much i can help.

the turning point in a separate peace, i think, is when he falls. nothing is really the same after that.

don't plagiarize . our essays will be submitted on the internet, so i abslolutely can't. but good websites to check other opinions are:

    exampleessays.com

    sparknotes.com

    google! haha. just search it.

drawl other opinions, conclusions, view points. maybe incorporate some ideas with your own. but make sure it's your own.

good luck. i feel your pain, haha =]

  2. There are numerous on line resources to help you with TKAM, and with questions such as this one.  Many of them offer chapter summaries, list of characters, character sketches, discussions of themes, setting, imagery, and symbolism, etc.  Do a search for “study guides for To Kill a Mockingbird” etc., and you will find many sites.  Also, do a search here on yahoo answers for To Kill a Mockingbird and you will find a wealth of information.

  3. Unfortunately I haven't read either books :(

I've heard about "To kill a Mocking bird." If it's about a black man charged with the rape of the white girl, the protagonist is the black man. It's obvious his life would've changed after the trial.

Sorry, perhaps do a little bit of reading for some opinions here: www.exampleessays.com
