So i have been living with my dad for a couple of yrs.We started living together in 2006,after he promised me to move in and concentrate on school and he would pay for my bills,(tuition, insuarances and everything else).

I moved in and told me,he couldnt do everything..so i had to get a job at a retail store to help him pay for groceries.

4 months later,he told me we gonna move to bigger (same number of rooms),apartment.Once we got there,he told me he dont got enaf money,so i gotta get another job to pay for my bills, tuition fees and more groceries.I couldnt dofulltime jobs and still go to school so i dropped out.

He later started complaining that am not respecting him and am not cooking fot him and went ahead and hit me with glasses. He was arrested and realesed and given 1 yr probation.

He has then been acting cold and stuff, cooks his own grab and cant even share(am still payin for our groceries tho)

So i got a promotion and now earning enaf cash for me to go back to college.

  1. Tell him you are moving in with someone from school, who lives closer to your job too? But look out for yourself here and get your own place, definately. If your name is not on the lease, then go ASAP. Otherwise stick it out for the 2 months, go out alot, and start packing while you wait.

It's a white lie. But you say he's already hit you. I would go and not want him to know exactly where I am. Nor would I want him showing up for dinner uninvited, and expect me to cook him dinner, or anything of the sort.

He is the one disrespecting you. Bills and chores etc., should be split up, not shoved on you totally. Cooking is not "woman's work".

When you go make sure to tell him to get a JOB and learn how to cook.

  2. You'll need to wait the two months because your name is on the lease.  Don't s***w up your own credit over 8 weeks.  During this 8 weeks put away a much money as you can towards your next living situation and tuition.

Tell your dad that when this lease expires you no longer want to live with him.  That way he has 2 months warning that he'll have to find another place.

Let the current landlord know that you will be leaving in 2 months and that your name should not be put on ANY lease after that time (your dad might get sneaky to trap you).

    Good luck in school!
