  1. REAL FMS cannot be corrected by diet--if diet corrects it--you were misdiagnosed---

Tramadol does NOT have Opium--it is an SRI based pain killer---NON NARCOTIC

just call teh pharmacy you go to--it is their job to tell you---some even have interaction checkers on their websites

be very careful with ZANAFLEX-it has SEVERE Side effects--if you 'fall asleep quickly--you may actually be unconscious-it can severely drop your blood pressure which can cause brain damage----you may notice your pulse being unusally slow teh next day-

it dropped my BP under 60/40 (from 110/70) and pulse to 40 (from 70)

ZANAFLEx is a muscle relaxant-has NOTHING to do with ZANEK (XANAX) an anti anxiety med

  2. Fibromyalgia is not a disease, it is a collection of symptoms, and is known as a syndrome.  There is no diagnostic test for FM and people with chronic muscle aches and fatigue get the label after serious conditions  have been ruled out.  There is an awful lot of overlap between FM and things like Multiple Chemical Sensitivity and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.  There is a lot of doubt in the medical community that these are actually separate conditions.  Or even if they are real conditions at all, .

FM and the allied conditions are far more common in women then men, and there is a strong association with mood disorders like anxiety and depression.  It also tends to be self limited.  Symptoms fade over time for most sufferers.

Standard treatments include regular exercise, proper amount of sleep and judicious use of medication.  No one type of med has been found useful.   You are on a real cocktail of things and I would suggest there is no good evidence to support that combination.  Fioricet and Tramadol are both atypical synthetic opioids.  You don't need two of them.  Zana flex is a "muscle relaxant" painkiller...it is more of a tranquilizer really.  Neurontin is a very expensive nerve modulating drug with lots of potential side effects...there is no good evidence it has any particular benefit in FM.

(bassdoc doesn't know what the h**l he is talking about)

I think you need to talk to your doctor about the drugs you are taking. Get referred to a rheumatologist or pain specialist who has an interest in FM (there aren't very many however)

  3. I have fibromyalgia, I have pretty much corrected it through diet.

Perhaps you should look into a more natural way.

Just suggesting this since you posted this in alternative medicine.

Some good FM info including diet suggestions.

  4. Tramadol has opium in it - I'm assuming Zaneflex has Zanex in it which is also a very strong and addicting pain killer.

Neorontin is some kind of neuroactive medicine - and you know what exedrin is.

If you take them all together I would expect a trip to the hospital and maybe ending up dead.

Get off of all these stupid drugs- they are not helping your problem anyway.

Treat it with massage, Chiropractic, stress reduction, stop smoking (how did I know that?), and herbal and other natural remedies.

Otherwise your body will be destroyed by all these harmful drugs.

    Best luck.
