  1. There is a world of difference between a bright idea with its expression into a first working form and a commercial product that is in demand.

Most inventors are not aware of this and are unable to separate their emotional approach to the object they discovered/invented and the way that its production business should be handled. They are too keen and clever about its technical details without the business sense to know how to put over the product or even how to get it made into a salable product. The legal side is also of significance including the need for taking a patent in order to reduce the competition for the first few years of production.

So I would suggest that you start to stydy these techniques. What kind of product is it? What materials is it made from? Are the materials easy to obtain? and at what cost? Can they be assembled to form the product without work being performed on them first? (i.e. is it an assembly plant or do you also need to make small detailed components for assembly?). Is it reliable? Is it easy to repair and who can you expect to make the repairs?

There are people who can take-over and exploit your idea by supplying the answers to many of these kinds of questions. They may even find that the idea is so good that they are onto a good thing and don't want to give up on the large amounts of money which must change hands as the productivity rises. They are called entepreneeurs and you may wish to be one yourself. They will do it for you at a price, which will cut into the total profit on each article. Many of them are very able but hard as businessmen go, as the result of bitter lost battles.

If you are interested in persuing this matter I suggest you examine the places where there kinds of inventions are advertized such as in "Practical Mechanics" or "Practical Science" magazines.
