I have a Macbook Pro, and I want to run windows programs inside while on Mac OS X, and the most logical solution I've found is VMware Fusion. Would I need though, a copy of a version of Windows (I would plan to use xp) in order to use Vmware, and how would I go about loading this without splitting the hardrive?

  1. Yes, you would need a copy of Windows to install it.  If you use VMware, you don't need to split up the hard drive.  All it would do is make a very large file on your hard drive and use that as a virtual hard drive for Windows.
