To Starbucks Employees: Does Starbucks offer you working vacations?

I have a vague memory somewhere of someone telling me that once you are a certified Starbucks barista, you can pick up shifts anywhere in the country, possibly the world. Of course i'm sure Starbucks wouldnt pay for your airfare, but if you wanted to take a vacation and throw a few shifts in there, is that possible? I can't seem to find any information on google searches, so thanks in advance for the replies! :-)

  1. My brother works at Starbucks and he says, "Yeah! If I go to Maui in the Fall I can work at the Starbucks there when I'm bored"...

Not that you get bored very easily in Maui but yeah...

Good luck, hope I answered your question!

  2. Definitely (for the most part). You rack up vacation hours after being there for a certain amount of hours. It is very common for stores in the area to contact you about working shifts at their stores (due to shortage, employees calling in sick, emergency situations, employees on vacation, etc.) If you were to attempt to pick up a shift in a different state or country, you would have to contact their store manager in advance. It all depends on whether or not they would have shifts and hours available for you during your vacation.

    Hope that helped!
