  1. I´m from Turkmenistan, a central asia country, ex-USRR

we are from the same race than turc (turkish come from my region, central asia)

I think than tunisia and turkey are a example to continue

I liked in my country when we wee a comunist country because the governent don´t leave the woman use the hijab

but now the women are turning to use it... we should copy the model of turkey or tunisia because it´s a progresive model

if we don´t wanne be a fanatic religious country as afghanistan  or chechenya (ocupated for russia)

    it´s my idea

if you think diferent than me, it´s okey

  2. Just think, while people worry about cloth people starve and die in this world. Pure silliness.

  3. I am tunisian, and I admit: yes they do it but not always, they it it from women by force, take them to police station and oblige them to sign a paper in witch they promise not to wear hijab again.

women with hijab are not employed in government jobs, students have problems at university with the police (present in each university).

I am not a fundamentalist, but I am with the personel liberties, and wearing hijab or not is one of them.

But the funniest things are the govenment's arguments: its not our tradition to wear hijab (as if it's our tradition to wear a suit and a tie).

  4. Aslaama, sorry i am not Tunisian, but i am married to one and live half the year there.. i wear hijab, i have never been bothered if anything people give me more respect. i see many women walking around wearing hijab. when i first went, i saw maybe 1:5, now it seems like 3:5 wear hijab!  wearing hijab is a choice, you can choose to follow your religion or choose to do your own thing. it is not forced upon women in Islam,  most country's that do this, it is their own interpretation of Islam. yes you have to wear hijab by the religion, but many choose not too.  ( There in no compulsion in Religion) in the world today there is a media craze against Islam as a whole, when they can not find anything wrong, they have to make a small occurrence into a big one. Tunisia is a women friendly country.

i am proud to wear my hijab, i love it, i love being a Muslim...

both sides can be extreme, forcing women to cover, and Forcing them to take  it off!!!

freedom is not being forced to remove your hijab!!!!!!!

  5. For one, your articles are not current.

Second, I will not deny that it had happened, but it did not happen as often as they said. The Tunisian government had banned the Hijab for government workers working in a government building, and while it was not banned, it was discouraged for those going to university. This ban had been in place since 1981, but for some reason only came to light within the past year.

Third, the ban on the hijab was rescinded on 11 October 2007 after being deemed unconstitutional by the Administrative Court of Tunis. Even when the ban was in place, many women still went against it and chose to wear the hijab anyways and the majority did not face retributions.

If I can be of any more help or assistance, please feel free to contact me.

  6. for the people saying its good tht this is happening i have thing to say: You have a CHOICE to wear one all of you are saying oohhh yes this is a good thing but when it comes to people forces women to wear the hijab u all like hey a woman has a right to choose.

if somewhere wears a cross are they a christian fanatic??

  7. its okay

    but im not tunisisan

  8. its okay i guess.
