To all college graduates that studied Psychology. ?

What careers can you obtain with a degree in Psychology? If I want to volunteer or do an internship, what would be a great place to start. What did you do?

A good place to start would be in your academic department, or for a more objective overview, your career center at your school.

With many employers building jobs around skills and not specific majors, Psychology can branch into many areas that were previously for other majors (think of Marketing...if you know how people act and react, you can be a big hit in that field, not to mention how they have "discovered" SPSS as a great tool!)

An internship is a great idea, but may be too confining - consider volunteering or service learning as a middle step - if you like that experience, see if it can be expanded into more of an internship.
