To all foreign tourists of the Philippines, how do you think of our local cuisine? such as sisig, etc?

I wanna know if you really like or hate our local dishes like adobo, kare-kare, siopao, sisig, fish balls, squid balls, and MORE...

The food is great, but  people in the Philippines need to cut back on the MSG in their foods.  Its not needed and not healthy.  I miss the jollibee chicken joy, my mother-in-laws pork bbq, and a few others.  As the other poster said, balot is terrible and gives me nightmares.

Most of the food is very tasty, but there are way too much skin and bones and cartilage in most dishes.

Philippine diet is very westernized.

I went to Philippines and then to China... BIG difference.

although I am technically a foreign tourist... I have family is Philippines.

Some of it is weird...like Balut, but I've seen weirder... but its good... Kare-Kare and the works...

I Like!! The food is great & the Veggies are very fresh & sweet. Like all foods in any place some you like & some you do not. But all in all I Like!!

I don't like balut (preserved, fermented duck eggs). It is sooooo gross. I only like the spaghetti at jollybees with the hot dogs

There's some things I ate that I don't know the name of it but those things you mentioned are not good.  I like buko pie better than anything.

I had a friend that visited the Philippines and ate there. After a month or so he got sick and we found out he had a tapeworm! Ewwwwww

I like most of the food, especially fresh lumpia. Balut... Its ok to drink the liquid but the chewing...

Pork adobo, pancit and lots of other dishes are pretty good.  Spam and corned beef seem to be pretty popular in the PI, more than in the US or Europe!

You do like your bread sweet tasting!    Same for your pizzas - the tomato sauce is much sweeter than what you find in Italy or even the US.  

I can eat a lot of cooked stuff but, like one of the other posts, no baluts!
