How can I stay at home and work? I am recently divorced and I just lost my house, my car, my life. But I still have my children and need a way to work maybe on the internet. Some people have given me websites but they have been scams! Please help if you know legit ways of working from home! Thank-you for any responses.

  1. I've setup a website which describes the best methods to find a real work from home job. I only include links to genuine websites for data entry and work at home jobs.

If you need any more help please send me a private message on yahoo.

Others I've found which have been very useful:

http://www.guru.com/pro/index.aspx (mainly IT and Admin jobs)

  2. Work at a daycare center and bring your children with you.

Start a business with Avon or MaryKay.

Good luck.  I wish you all the best.  Remember to keep your spirits up for your kids and always keep praying!

  3. would you be interested in writing?

You could setup a blog or website, this is completely free. Once you have added some good content, you can start to earn money from advertising. I know you wont make a huge income from this, but it would get you started working from home.

Pick a topic which you are very interested in, and write a piece on that everyday.

I've given step by step instructions on how to create a website for free, and then add adverts to it so you can start generating income.

Any questions please leave a comment on this blog.

I've also found some useful information on these blogs, it helps you to earn small amounts of money from data entry, surveys, receiving telephone calls, reading adverts in emails and online selling.

  4. I've been doing some work with www.elance.com the past week, all the work is home based, data entry, transcription etc. The only thing is you're competing against people from countries where the hourly rate of pay is a lot lower, so not sure if it would be worth it for you.

Also have a look at the jobs listed here, most are applicable to us,canada, europe, its quite good, thats where I found the above link.

Its been updated today to include some Craft type jobs which can be done from home, mainly re-distribution, but it possible to make good money from it if you work hard.

So many online jobs are out there. In fact, to do any online job, you need not want to invest anything. Make sure, you dont pay anything to get jobs online. It is just that need to pick the one that suits you the best. I hope this helps you and I believe you will find the online job that you love the most. Thanks

  5. if you need to work, which it sounds like you do, then you're really ought to find a salaried, full-time position. It's a waste of time trying to make money online -- as you said, you'll only run into scams.  I think the stability and security of a full-time job will really help your family and your financial position.

  6. honestly on the computer work isnt the best way of work. After all the spam they send you, all the money the company makes by selling your identity and the uneasy feeling of being ripped off I'd suggest going a different route. Try babysitting, house cleaning, menu planning for families, house organizing or party planning, gardening/landscaping as a stay at home mom. What about joining a networking company such as AVON, Melaluca, or other product based companies?

  7. I do the avon it gets a lil extra, u could do leaflet delivery, paper round or deliverys of parcels...With these u can work in ur own time and take the kids.

  8. I work from home by being a Pampered Chef consultant.  You can either do just book parties or you can do kitchen and book parties.

Book parties is where you give the host, the person doing the party for you, a few catalogs and order forms and she collects orders for you and then you put it in the computer and send it to home office and take the money to the bank for them to take out and then they pay you on pay day which is twice a month.

Kitchen shows is where you go to their house and put on a show telling about our products and make a recipe for them to try and collect the orders and do the same as a book show for the rest.

It is something to consider but if you are not into Pampered chef there is also, Avon, Party Lite..I hear this is good and they stand behind their products like Pampered Chef does, Home interiors, Tupperware, and more.  Just do your research on their products and see if you would be interested as well as passionate about selling them. You are your own boss with all of those companies so you make your own schedule which is nice when you have children.

If you want to do something else then you will need to maybe go to school for it like Medical billing, or medical transcriptionist.  They are both good fields to get into but you do have to go to school for them and some have you work in an office while others have you work from home.

Other then that I am not sure what else is good work from home. I have been looking for other jobs to do but I can't find any that are legit. Pampered chef is working for me right now and I have been doing it for 4 years now it is a sales job so you make what you sale.

Good Luck with what ever you do and I am sorry to hear about your situation.
