that they are there to pick them up, do you ever fantasize about grabbing your uzi and running outside and yelling "YOU &$)&(@*^(^#, YOU WOKE UP MY BABY!!!!) and spraying their car. Or maybe the less violent approach, picking up your water hose and spraying the inside of their car while they are sitting in it and saying,"This is the equivalent of how rude you were to my baby"

or am I the only psycho out there???

  1. ha ha yea i have to agree with you or how about those people who are on their motorcycles and sit there and rev the engine  ughhh it makes me so mad

  2. Oh momma, I am right there with you!  I live in military base housing which is a whole big neighborhood of duplexes.  There is a couple who lives two houses down that ALWAYS have their friends over with those souped (sp?) up Mazda's and such.  They sit out there and rev the engines and honk their horns and play music loudly.  The moment it hits 8:00, I march down there and tell them to please keep it down because I have children that are trying to sleep.  One day, we were outside playing and those same people were outside drinking and using profanity like you wouldn't believe.  Without hesitation, I marched down there and told them as politely as I could to shut their freakin' mouths!  Its called "Family housing" for a purpose and they need to learn to respect the fact that they live in a neighborhood filled with children!  lol  I haven't heard much partying from that house lately.

Its not that my kids have never heard cursing and my kids are more than capable of sleeping through their parties, its just the principal of it all.  The fact that they have no respect for all the families around them is what really gets my goat.

*On a side note, I'm not purposefully being a b word.  In base housing, there is a "code of conduct" that most people are good about abiding by.  Just common courtesy stuff.  No loud music once its dark.  No sitting in the driveway and honking your horn.  No outdoor parties after dark.  I'm simply reminding them of those rules and giving them the opportunity to knock it off rather than calling security forces.  If security forces gets called, their commanding officer is notified and guess who's in deep p**p!?!  lol

  3. the honking doesn't happen to me...just my stupid neighbor starting up his motorcycle. my daughter will come out of a deep sleep screaming when that motorcycle starts. lol

  4. omg...yes. we live in a rental home at the moment and they always mow the grass at different times...but it always seems to be right whe i get my son to nap. it drives me nuts. i know they dont know, but it really irritates me. you are definantly not physco. well, then again, if you are, i am too.

  5. lol lol lol ha ha ha ha ha ha

    brilliant xx

  6. Thankfully, I do not have that problem.  We live in the country, and while we can occasionally hear people honking at our neighbors' it is so faint that it would never wake a sleeping baby.

We never got our children used to sleeping in silence, so it was not a common occurance for them to be woke by noise.  Sometimes, though, when having a bad night and finally getting the baby to sleep something just as annoying would happen-such as someone slamming a door.  I have had less-than-nice thoughts when that occured.

Could you perhaps put music on for your sleeping baby?  Classical or some lullabies.  Even a fan would provide enough white noise that outside noise would probably not disturb her.

Hope this helps, and you are not psycho...now if you did it, you might be psycho but just thinking it does not make it so.

  7. That's obnoxious, isn't it?  Best to be kind in your response, as they are probably unaware.  Where I live, people don't do that.  But if you hear someone do it, you might go out and politely tell them there's a baby sleeping.  It might be the same person all the time, and they would probably stop if they knew the problem it caused.

  8. LOL! Okay, I don't think I've ever been that irritated before, but I have triplets now so maybe that idea will cross my mind in the future!

  9. ATM, I'm going with the uzi... my son is a light sleeper, and once he's awake he won't go down easy... lol. We have a neighbor like that... he can't get out of the car to open his own gate, so he lies on the horn until someone inside hears him and one of his kids has to run outside to open it for him. This can happen at any time during the day and night. Drives me insane!

    Really, I don't think you're alone... lol

  10. lol. Yes I do. It's awesome though because I live right next to my landlord and she does not deal with that. I once saw her literally chase down someone in apts who came in with their music too loud.

But yes I would love to throw something very hard. :)

  11. I'm not a mama yet, but our neighbors honk their horn everyday for like 10 minutes.  You can tell they're angry cuz they're taking too long and I hate it!  They also like to take up 2 parking spaces cuz they park diagonally.  I happened to come across two big orange cones and I picked them up and put them in the areas that they shouldn't park in. lol They've been there for 2 months so far. :)

  12. I don't have a baby(if any one wonders about the TTC#2 I have an angel baby) but I do have baby sister and brother twins.

And I dont tolerate that stuff

I will go out and tell them they need to stop and be respectful of other people. It erks me.

  13. LOL i wouldn't go quite that far, but yes, i definitely get annoyed when people are so incredibly loud outside and my daughter is trying to sleep. We live in an apartment building and when i'm rocking my daughter to sleep in the living room, every single time (without fail) some kid, teen, or adult will come barreling up the stairs, yelling and being obnoxious. Or my neighbor will turn his music up extra loud. I can't count how many times i've wanted to just go out their and b*tch everyone out, but of course they didn't know i was rocking my baby to sleep.

  14. um no.

im so glad i dont have neighbors :)

    that would SUCK!!

  15. I thank you for the laugh. I'm 35 weeks pregnant and I already can't sleep because my neighbors kids find playing and yelling by my window to be far more enjoyable than the large backyard they have. I've already been laying here trying to think about how to get them to stop before the baby gets here because her window is right next to mine.

I have already locked them out of my yard and asked them to stop hopping my fence. Can you believe they asked me why???!!!! As if the fact that its mine and not theres wasnt enough.

Maybe you can put a sign in your window that says baby sleeping!!!!

  16. well the only time I get that way is when we it's really early in the morning

  17. It is best to get your baby used to sleeping with noise and not walking on eggshells when they are asleep.  If you start them when they are young, infants, they will get accustomed to the noise and you will never have any problems.  I could vacuum under my kids bed while they were napping and if they were really tired, they would sleep on.  You will enjoy your time more while they are napping and be able to do things around the house without them waking.  Trust me, start now by playing soft music and then slowly adjust to louder music.  You don't want the music to be overly loud and it should be soothing music to accommodate sleep.  Leave the neighbors alone and sooner or later you can pull up outside some night about 1:00 am and blow your horn just to make you feel better.

  18. LOL I like that! I feel that way about the preschool bus! He honks like 3 times and they're LONG honks, at 8 AM!! She doesn't wake up all the time but it wakes me up and then he does it again when he brings them home at 3, and that wakes her up.

  19. haha if you're a psycho i am too.
