To all Harley riders, would you accept and ride a rice burner if it was offered to you for free? To all rice burner riders, would you accept and ride a Harley if it was offered to you for free? You cant say that you would trade it in, you have to say you would or would not.

  1. Yes.

Could you make it another Honda 750, please.

I want to chop one, but I don't want to cut up the one I have.

I ask for another Honda because the Harley already was given to me. 23,x*x miles ago.

  2. sure, i'm opposed to supporting asian economies.... if it don't cost me a thing, i didn't support it.

would be iffy if it were a crotch rocket though, very few are comfortable, a rice burner cruiser would be quite fine though

  3. I am fortunate enough to own, enjoy & ride both.  They both have their positives and negatives which is the reason I have both.  AND I don't try to compare them.  I'm sure I'd enjoy riding a dirt bike too if I had one.

  4. yes I would do it

  5. I have and still do. I own 2 Harleys and a CB954. I am looking at buying a 1974 triumph if the guy will drop a few hundred dollars.

  6. It's a sportbike fyi

I would accept a sportbike or Harley... I would just sell the Harley on eBay though! lol

  7. I would take any bike that was given to me for free lol

  8. You bet.  I'd love to have sport bike to play around on, but not for going on a cross country ride.  Old fat guys can't maintain the position on a sport bike for very long, but for a short ride through the twisties - you betcha.

    Ride a HD 2003 FLHRCI

Ideally I'd have 2 or 3 bikes, a tricked out chopper, my road king and a sport bike.

  9. I ride a cruiser but I'd probably say no to the rice burner as I'd probably kill myself on it. I've got a bit of a "don't try to out nutter me "  personality which I keep to the poker table these days !

No, I wouldn't be safe on a fast bike !!

  10. Yep, I will gladly accept a Harley Bobber or Fat Boy.  I would park it right next to my Honda VTX 1800N.

  11. I'm a motorcycle rider. I ride motorcycles. Yes I'd ride a harley if it was free. more than once too.

  12. I currently ride a Harley and wouldn't think twice about getting a second bike regardless of make for free

  13. Yes, I have ridden both ridden metrics with a standard riding position, metrics with cruiser style and now have a harley.  I would love to try a sportbike out of curiousity.  I am ultimately looking at purchasing sporttourer with more of a standard riding position.

h**l, if I ever had the extra money I would have one of each.  I just didn't want to drop alot of money on a bike style I've never ridden.  My state does not allow test drives: anyone want to let me take a spin.

    Happy Riding everyone!

  14. Yea I would try it, but opposite of what you might think, a sport/touring position is better for my back than a cruiser, so I would probably stick with those types of bikes.

  15. Of course I would !!  Getting a sport bike for free would be ideal for me.  I ride my touring Harley cause that is what I do on it...tour.  I know I would have a ton of fun with a sport bike, but I don't own one because spending $$ on something I will only take out 20% of the time makes no sense.....but for free ?? h**l yeah.

  16. AAAAAAAAA NO!!

  17. Yes

  18. I'd take ANYTHING for free.  (OK, if it was a Vespa, I'd just sell it, but what the heck, free is free.)

I was recently in the market and really would have preferred a Harley.  However I came across an '05 Honda VTX1300R that was well tricked out and only had 500 (!!) miles on it for $6k.  Anything similar as a Harley would have cost nearly double that so I swallowed my pride (not all that hard) and snagged it.  I hit the "bike nights" at several local bars and the only comment I've heard from the "Harley Crowd" is "Nice ride."

  19. As a current Harley rider/owner, yes I would take a sportbike if it was offered for free.

  20. Why certainly!Only an idiot would turn down a free bike.I've owned a few j*p bikes over the years and i'd take another.I could park it next to my Panhead.Maybe when it got dark in the garage the Pan could do nasty things to it and i'd get some baby hybrids

  21. I've owned and rode both. I chose a Honda because of bang for the buck.

  22. Who in their right mind would say no!?!? Of course!

  23. When I had my 1200 Sportster me and a buddy swapped back and forth with his '04 GSXR750 a bunch of times. Be the end of the ride, he was thinking he needed a HD to park next to the GSXR and I was thinking I needed a GSXR to park next to my HD. I just did another ride where I did the same with a friend's Roadking and my Buell. That left him saying he would love a Buell and me thinking that a Roadking would be nice to have for slow comfortable rides with my girlfriend.

    It's funny!

By riding a Buell, I really don't have an answer for your question unless you count Buell as a Harley. If you do, I would switch in a minute for a free bike. Brand loyalty is cool if you are into that sort of thing, but I just love to ride. I don't really care who has their name plastered on the side of the tank.

  24. free? sure...

i wouldn't ride it much..if at all, but it would make a great loaner for my friends w/o bikes who want to go riding, or for a spare when I'm working on mine...

  25. Most def. i would. I actuall ride an Enduro, and would be more than happy to get a free bike (providing its not a hunk of junk). Im actually going to buy another crotch rocket soon, and hope to purchase a harley as my next bike. Ive already got 2 Enduros and a Ninja as it is, and the more bikes the better.

  26. i would definitely take a free j*p bike.  if it was a sport bike or something else fast and vastly different from my harley, i'd ride it quite a bit.  if it was a cruiser, harley-wannabe style bike it'd sit in my garage for when my harley is out of commission or for a loaner bike so my friends could ride with, no reason to ride it when i've already got better.

  27. All bikes are a hoot to ride, I'd have one of everything if I had the choice.

  28. i dont have  a harley or a rice burner. but i have a cruiser. and i would accept either if they were offered to me. a free bike is a free bike!

  29. Going to Daytona bike week and Biketober fest ! you can test drive all the major manufactures ... me i spend all my time to test driving all the hogs , was not inpressed with the boss hoss all that power slow bike

  30. I'd sell the Harley and buy two Hondas.

  31. I have had both(Honda Shadow and Magna and a H-D Sportster). I bought my bikes because I liked them, not because of the make. I ride a Sportster now and I catch it from a minority of (dickless)fools who ask me when am I gonna get a real bike. I bought my Sportster because it was the only H-D that liked the way it looks. So s***w anybody who thinks if it not a H-D its c**p.
