  1. From a Die-Hard Dawg fan to anyone who thinks these teams don't play real football. The Pac 10 and the Big 10 along with all other conferences have a rich tradition and history in regards to college football and other sports.  I have watched college football from the moment I could walk and I have always enjoyed the debate over who has the best team and conference.  That's part of the game and it will always be around.  With that being said the National Title will be won this year by the best team and it won't matter if they're undefeated or not.  I root for the SEC and it has it's perenial doormats just as much as any other conference.  It's hard for SEC teams to go undefeated in their own conference so it's unfair to ask a team from another conference to do the same.  Realistically most SEC teams wouldn't go undefeated in the PAC 10 or the Big 10 so why bother asking the question.  Respectfully, this is just my opinion.

  2. USC beat the c**p out of the only SEC opponents it has faced since 2000, twice beating a division winner. One of those games was 23-0. Yes, I think they could.

If Michigan can go 7-1 against the SEC, I think it's safe to say ANYONE could go undefeated against the SEC.

How crappy was Cal last year? They smoked division winner Tennessee. You know, the team that beat the almighty Bulldogs by 21.

Face it, SEC homer, all you have is Ohio State. Cling to it.

  3. I agree with Phillip, not many SEC teams could go undefeated in the big 10 or pac either.

  4. Ok, I'm no USC or Ohio St. fan but I'll answer anyway. All of the top conferences have their powerhouses but what sets the SEC appart as the best in the country is their top to bottom power. Vanderbilt and Ole Miss might not look like doormats in a lesser conference. In the Big Ten or PAC 10 you'll play a couple of tough games but you'll mostly be playing average teams. In the SEC nearly every week will be a battle. Yes, the best of one conference might be able to compete with the best of the other. But I don't believe other conferences have near the power the SEC has behind their top three teams.
