When you're, cutting, camp drafting and generally working with horse and cattle for competition which breed of cow do you find most challenging and really makes the ride worthwhile.? I really enjoy the X Brahman and also the Angus crosses they really give me a run for my money.

and which breed of cow do you find harder to get moving and gives up easy...I find Murray greys are pretty lazy. I live in Australia so cattle might be different in the US

  1. I personaly like anything crossed with the Brahman. But normaly to save money I just goto the sale yards and pick up a mixed lot of commercial calves.  I like have the mix because they do want to stick to gether...to a point. Like cattle would rather be with like cattle. If you have a bunch of black/white face calves and you mix in a few white. The white calves will be more abt to cut and run from the herd. But I don't pick just one breed I go for a mixed lot where the only thing you can realy tell about them is feed goes in one end and cow pies got out the other and there is a leg in each corner.
