To attached to home ?

Ok I'm 18 and from New Orleans..I constantly find myself Complaining about it..either the hurricanes or the extreme oven like heat the crime the traffic it goes on and on.But whenever i leave i feel extremely home sick.Like when Katrina hit all i kept saying is i want to go HOME.Like my family was talking about moving to North Carolina and we spent some time over there and everything was just perfect i mean nice weather just what i always wish New Orleans was like..But then i felt like i just want to be Home..I grew up here and as much as it sucks its Home..why is it like this

It is what it is there are allways forks in the road you will see you hold on as long as you can

My guess would be it is the security and comfort of knowing your surroundings. It is all you have known so to speak. You know the local stores and people etc but when you are away you might feel like a stranger to the area and it makes you feel alone. Everyone has a comfort zone and yours is in New Orleans no matter what.
