  1. well that's just it. you've answered the question yourself. it's a single flip which consists of 360 degrees of rotation. as i'm sure you're not doing an armstand on platform, you're starting on your feet. 360 degrees of rotation from your feets lands you back on your feet.

    If this is a diving question then the answer is yes. A front/back flip lands on your feet. A 1 1/2 lands on your hands.

    If this is a swimming question then a front flip is used for both freestyle and backstroke.

    After looking at this again I believe you're talking about diving.
