  1. Of course, everything is easier when one is a natural, but dance, especially performance, can be learned.

Many studios offer beginning adult classes, and you should take some to get your technique stronger.

To be a performer, you need to have fun with it and smile like you are having a great time!

after you get good, you can go to auditions and get on a team or show that you can perform in!

most of all, don't give up, and work hard!!

  2. You can definitely learn to be, you just will have to work harder to acheive the same affect on stage that a natural has with the audience.  You are a natural at dancing too, I'm sure. You just have to figure out what part of dancing your a natural at.  It could be from doing pirouttes to developes to jetes or slow adagio steps or even just the attitude that you have toward the audience that sets them in a trance and they just can't take their eyes off of you.  I think the most important thing in dancing doesn't have anything to do with being a natural or not.  The most important thing is to entertain the audience. Think about it, would a coreographer hire someone who is great with technique but bores the judges and will probably bore the audience, or someone who could work on their technique and would have to practice more often but they wow the judges with their personality and their poise and grace. Just know that anyone can dance after some practice, but it takes a whole lot longer to have the affect and pazazz on the audience that the judges are looking for.

  3. Hello,

you can be a good perfromance dancer if you are a natural or if you are not, if you are old or if you are young. As long as you have the dedication to learn and practice, you will suceed and be good. Just make sure you do want to be a performance dancer, dont compare yourself with others, because that will only get you down. Just dance, and be happy. Practice, and enjoy every minute of it!

    xx

  4. Although it is amazing to see dancers with perfect technique and tricks, in my opinnion it will still be important to learn how to be a good performer. You can learn but it is magical if you do it naturally. I think that if your are a natural performer it goes to your advantage because the audience is so engaged and focused on your interpretation that they may forgive mistakes or imperfections. They don't mind if you can't do so many tricks.

  5. you could learn...you could have it naturally...but you have to have energy and the drive to push yourself and not just walk off randomly when you're on the stagee

  6. You can't be good without learning but you need as well to have a natural ability

  7. either. being natural, dont get me wrong, is something i wish i was. but...unfourtunately, im not. i am the clumsiest person i know who has to sit in their room hours practicing something to get it right. but i have learned and now has placed 4th overall soloist at Rising Star National Talent Competition. also, when you finally do get that tripple or the switch leap, or a front extension, you can be proud of it because you worked your butt off to get it. you dont have to be a natural. you just have to be dedicated
