  1. I do not believe so. I am not qualified to comment, however, because I do believe in a supreme deity.

  2. Yes. St Paul describes the unsearchable riches of Christ I think in his letter to the Ephesians!!!

  3. To be spiritually insane, perhaps.

  4. No.  Sometimes that can rob one of spiritual wealth.

As a human we strive to live up to our full potential.  How can we reach our full potential whenever we degrade ourselves before a perfect all powerful being?

Look at Christianity for example.  The basic idea is we're all born evil and we cannot help ourselves.  We require some grand being to save us from ourselves thus freeing us from any accountability beyond the dogma.

To be spiritually wealthy you must have wisdom.  Wisdom is ability to put knowledge and experience to good use, to help ourselves reach our full potential and to help others reach theirs.

You don't need a supreme being to limit you in this.

  5. Spirit, soul, and god, these words have drifted away form my mind, names for dreams. I am here. A cool rain is falling beyond my open window, the breath of it come in with gentle shrugs of the wind, bringing the smell of growing things, and a hint of the coming season. This is enough.

I am a spiritual pauper, having give away all my dream words.

  6. No. I'm an atheist, I have a religion, and I am fine. It is the people who matter.

  7. Not necessarilly, but it helps. If you look at the wonders of nature, it makes you think how there isn't a supreme being (or something out there; i wouldn't know what to call it, some prefer "God" but that's just the way humans like to put a label on things in order for things to be recognisable).

Just look at nature, the creatures, the plants everything, it's just amazing the variety and the beauty, imagine what is was like when the bad human hand wasn't around to ruin it all. A hand can be a cup or a fist, and unfortunately most of the time it's a fist :(

  8. I think only a person who was ignorant of most religions would be able to make a statement like that.  There are deeply spiritual Taoists, Buddists, etc.  I know a Catholic nun who said that the most christlike people she'd ever met were buddhists.
