To become a teacher do you have to...?

yes, in America, you go to college to become a teacher, you major in education. (there are loop holes though, you can teach before you are actually certified or get certified before you finish college, each school has different allowances, especially when they really need teachers they are willing to take a teacher who isnt fully certified or educated yet, but in the process of that) I am not sure about other countries' rules, but you cant go wrong with a college degree! just having a degree does you good even if what you end up doing has nothing to do with the degree. college is a lot of hard work but worth all that extra knowledge!! go to college even if its not for teaching!

Every state has different requirements, for teaching credentials, but to teach English in other countries can be done without a college degree.
