I'm about to go into my first year of post-secondary and I'll be taking a 2-year general arts (graphic design) diploma course at Niagara. My priorities have sort of shifted around recently and I'm wondering what it takes to be a teacher in Ontario. The way I understand it, you need four years of post-secondary education and one year of teachers college to become accredited? Does this mean you need a bachelors degree, or would four years of study in different vocational/diploma programs do the trick? (I mean, two diplomas).

  1. It depends if you want to be a technology teacher or a "regular" teacher. Chances are you will have to go to university. Check the requirements of different schools!
