To become an anesthesiologist?

do I have to be good at math and chemistry...is that a hard profession????

why do they make more than surgeons???

  1. You have to go to medical school which means you have to do well in college math, biology, chemistry and do well on your MCATs (med school entrance exams). Then you have to do well in medical school because anesthesiology is a competitive profession. Sounds like you may be too young to think of all these things yet. Its a hard proffesion, you have to think quick on your feet and be able to do a lot of math in your head,

    Doctors income is relatively unrelated to the difficulty of the profession, its a capitalistic economy and income is based on supply and demand.  


  2. Yes, you must be able to understand chemistry, math, biology, physiology, anatomy, etc. You don't have to be "good" at them, just average. It is a profession that deals with the lives of others, so it is very stressful. Are you sure they make more than surgeons? I think surgeons make more.
