To become the first prority for the airliners what qualifications should i have?

  1. Being a Commercial pilot is not enough.  

    Try to have at least a year and 1000 hours as captain of a jet--preferredly not small.  Being a check pilot can help.  Have a college degree.  Be accident, incident, and violation free.  --No DUIs.


  2. Have you considered corporate aviation? There are a lot of great companies to fly for going to over 5000 airports verses the same 500 the airlines go to. You don't have to deal with the TSA, long lines, relocating or commutes. Keep in mind all fly jobs have pros and cons

  3. To have first priority status, retire as an Air Force or Navy officer with a good service record.  That's the surest way to get hired by a major airline.
