I have a 6 months old daughter and i'm 4 mos. pregnant and i wanted to know if it's okey to take our daughter with us and go camping for 2 days and sleep there on a camp site. We are only planning to use a tent and i know that it's gonna be a hot weather out there. Should i bring a fan so that she may feel better while we stay inside the tent, or do i let my husband just go with his friends.

  1. Just let him go... I took my 5 month old and we left the next day. He got bark in his eye and I was done! We now have a trailer which is great, but tent camping with baby is not fun!

  2. I would not go with a baby in a tent. Once you can afford a travel trailer, or even a small SCAMP trailer, or CASITA, it will be easier. Myself, I need a full bathroom, kitchen, and sofa, with full hookups! Oh, and an awning to sit outside.

We are empty nesters and are looking to purchase a new travel trailer. ------->

  3. Babies hate camping, cold or hot, sunny or damp, they will not be happy nor comfortable and likely you'll end up not sleeping and with a lot of crying.

  4. Your husband will probably enjoy some time out with his friends, and neither you nor the baby will be likely to enjoy camping.

Plus, the other campers don't want to hear a crying baby in the middle of the night.
