Long story short...a friend of mine had told me of a really easy way (which I believe is non-technological) to see if someone had snooped into his hotel room. I'm pretty sure my future in-laws snoop in our condo when we're not around. Please help...

  1. stick a piece of hair across from the door to the jam and if it gone or torn in two you know someone opened the door

  2. Well the old detective's favourite is to trap a paperclip (or something else tiny and boring-looking) in the gap between the door and the doorframe. Then is the door is opened while you're gone, the paperclip will be on the floor when you get back.

  3. unless you are going to confront them, or attempt to prosecute, just have the lock re-keyed, or change the lock....

  4. Put baby powder on the floor, you'll see foot prints if anyone has entered your place.

  5. A piece of tape across the top of the door, back by the hinges where someone wouldn't notice it.

  6. other things you could try are a small pile of flour on the floor near the door where someone unsuspecting might tread in it (they could brush it up, but they couldn't make the pile look the same once they'd trodden in it.........especially if you hide the rest of your bag of flour!)

or a thin piece of paper taped across the door (it'd only work if you could get out a different door)

  7. sprinkle a little bit of baby powder around the doorway check whenever with a black light for footprints

  8. I WOULD USE SCOTCH TAPE (TRANSPARENT) AND IF IT IS BROKEN WELL THEN YOU WOULD KNOW...
