SALAM!

I was just wondering what made you realize that ALLAH is the all MERCIFUL GOD. Did anyone object to it? Oh and what religion did you convert out of plus how old were you sorry just curious. I love hearing the stories.

Hope everyone has a wonderful RAMADAN!

SALAM

............Thank you

  1. salam!

let me begin by saying that i have not converted to Islam yet, inshaAllah, i will very soon .

my best friend is muslim, so whenever ramadan used to come, i would fast with her, since we were in school. slowly, i wanted to know more and fast by doing all the things right, so this lead to me asking questions and learning more about Islam through books and internet.

i was a Christian, that too, i would like to think a good one but then some things did not make sense or have any reason BUT Islam does and hence it immediately drew me in.

i have been thinking about it since i was 16years old, finally voiced it at around 17years (wanted to do my reading, still am) and now i just turned 18 and working as well as going to college, so that im financially stable incase im disowned!

reading others' stories encourges me, so im sharing mine.

thanks to all in this category and RAMADAN KAREEM TO ALL!!

  2. Salam sister,

I reverted to Islam over 4 years ago now (when i was 22). Before that I had no belief in religion...i was bought up with no knowledge of religion. For me,  i met some muslims and started learning things. It was very fascinating, and when you read the qu'ran it just makes sense, you couldn't deny what it says. So that was it for me. Alhamdullilah I became muslim, got married and now have two boys. Ofcourse people objected to it. My sister was open minded about it, my parents didnt like it but as long as i was happy they were fine (although even now my mum still hates me wearing the hijab), and all my friends disappeared because i wasnt fun to them anymore (ie no more partying). But none of that bothers me. I have all that i need.  Have a great ramadan!

  3. I had far more respect for Islam before I actually  got to know some of them. They were very friendly and sweet till they asked me to convert to Islam.

after I told them that i did not see the need to do that as I believe GOD is one anyway, they became from Ice cold to even hostile.
