  2. Assuming you mean, a U.S. FSO?  Well, if you're in a place where you don't really need to make money, and you don't mind the total instability, maybe you should consider it.  Have you looked into it enough to know which cone you'd want?

    The work itself can be interesting, but you need to make sure you're ready for the constant moving, the inconveniences, and an employer like the Department of State.

    Having a family makes things far more complicated, as while some spouses/kids enjoy the nomadic lifestyle, many others grow tired of it quickly, along with its limited opportunities for spousal employment, stability, education, access to health care, and proximity to home.
